....or rather, it's already here!! Kicked my vacation off with the Rocky mountains (Jasper, Alberta) got back two days before Canada Day, did all the Proud to Be Canadian things (cuz well, I AM proud to be Canadian damnit! lol) Watched the spectacular fireworks we had and two days later, was off once again vacationing!! This time we grabbed the camper and found a nice cozy spot that I think we'll stay parked at for the rest of the summer with periodic trips home to do the whole laundry bit and restocking of food supplies

During this time of rest and relaxation I will be finishing up my last commission for the summer and then I will be practicing some fast draw sketches and maybe finishing up a few personal art projects I've had on the side burners cuz I had to put paying gigs ahead of them. There's a stargate drawing of Sam Carter that's started and is begging to be finished. A fantasy drawing of my daughter as a fairy and of course my comic book that I started! My very good friend Julie took my synopsis and ideas and put them together in an awesome story, which I must now draw! LOL I can't wait to get started on that one as well!! And of course I have a few side projects I want to do as well...like...ambitiously wanting to illustrate a certain stargate fanfic...that'll take time, years even with the way my scheduling has been going!! But I do one day want to get to it just cuz I wanna. The fanfic was so awesome I felt it needs to be illustrated fully! One day I hope.....one day....

I hope everyone has a GREAT summer! I will post new drawings as I can. I have one but haven't scanned it yet...DOH! As soon as it is, I'll be sure to post.

And for everyone who actually sat through this and read it, thank you for sticking with me and my art and for all your comments and fave's. They really are so very appreciated and always ALWAYS a treat to read!!

Ya, like it says, I have nothing really to talk about, just thought I should change my 'mother's day' journal entry since we are past it I'm still doing commissions...they're keeping me busy. Just have to upload the finished ones one day soon! With summer here though, that simple act is not so simple at all when all that nice weather beckons me to frolick in its rays of sunshine!! LOL

Just wanted to wish all you Mothers out there a Happy Mothers Day!! I hope you're being spoiled by your loved ones!! And if they're not spoiling you, you haven't been mentioning it often enough!! LOL

Recently I've been seriously debating on doing Aceo drawings (Aceo's are trading card sized drawings, paintings or any other medium on a strict 2.5x3.5 size) But I've been stumped as to what kind of Aceo's I should do. So I turn to you and ask for your opinion. What kind of Aceo's would you like to see done? Fantasy? Mythical Creatures? Celebrity? TV/Movies? Comic characters? Other?

And if you said one of the above, are there any specifics you would like to see??

Hope Spring has truly sprung for everyone...it sure hasn't here!! Still tons of snow, tons of cold and did I mention tons of snow? LOL One day spring will truly have made it to my neck of the woods...until that day, I shall stay warm and cuddly in my home working on drawings!
